Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Release Train Engineer to serve as a servant leader for a complex Agile Release Train (ART) and guide execution of SAFe-aligned programs.

You will collaborate with business and technology leaders to promote transparency, alignment, and value delivery across multiple teams. The role requires extensive experience in SAFe environments, strong facilitation and coaching skills, and a proactive approach to removing impediments and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, CS or equivalent.
• 7+ years of related experience including 5+ years in Scrum Master/Agile leadership roles for large-scale initiatives.
• Extensive SAFe RTE experience.
• Current SAFe RTE/SPC or comparable SAFe certification.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean-Agile principles.
• Experience leading large programs and value streams across multiple teams.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary facilitator and servant leader for a complex ART.
• Lead and facilitate ART events (PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos).
• Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams on Lean-Agile practices.
• Partner with Product Management and Stakeholders to align objectives and execution.
• Identify and resolve program-level dependencies, risks, and impediments.
• Drive continuous improvement via Inspect & Adapt workshops and initiatives.
• Promote collaboration across architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Use Agile metrics and dashboards to assess ART performance and areas for improvement.
