Job summary

PlanSource, a leading cloud-based benefits technology provider, seeks an experienced Controller to lead our accounting organization for a remote US team. You will own the monthly close, financial reporting, revenue accounting, and internal controls, while guiding a high-performing remote staff.

You will partner with FP&A, Legal, and Tax, drive automation, and leverage AI to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making across the finance function in a fast-growing SaaS company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Active CPA license required.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience as Controller or Assistant Controller in SaaS/tech.
• Experience with $100M+ annual revenue organizations.
• Strong U.S. GAAP, ASC 606 knowledge.
• Experience leading external audits and audit-ready processes.
• Experience managing remote accounting teams.
• Advanced NetSuite experience.
• Ability to build scalable accounting processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close with accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee GAAP financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Coordinate audits, lender diligence, and external reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and control frameworks.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, treasury, and cash management.
• Drive automation and AI-enabled improvements across accounting workflows.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed accounting team.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Sales Ops on contracts and revenue matters.
• Support acquisitions and strategic initiatives.
