Job summary

Join Inc. is seeking a Controller to own numbers, audits, and strategic planning. You’ll build a finance function from a QuickBooks/Bill.com base to support audits, diligence, and growth, reporting to the CEO.

You’ll drive month-end close, GAAP reporting, budgets, and board-ready metrics, including SaaS KPIs, cash, and tax filings. This hands-on role requires strong finance leadership in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• Experience mixing public accounting with startup or SaaS operating roles.
• Fluent in SaaS revenue recognition and metrics (ARR, GRR, NRR).
• Experience through an audit from the company side.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close with outsourced support.
• Produce monthly GAAP financials with variance commentary.
• Maintain chart of accounts, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Manage external accounting firm and ensure accuracy of outputs.
• Lead audit and SOC 2 processes with internal teams, including tax filings.
