Job summary

AssetWatch, Inc. is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function during rapid growth.

You will partner with the CFO and executive team to drive rigor, foresight, and operational excellence in financial decisions for a SaaS/HaaS business. This remote-first role covers GAAP reporting, internal controls, ASC 606 revenue recognition, multi-entity and multi-currency accounting, tax compliance, ERP systems, and treasury.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Experience in technology, software, SaaS, or HaaS.
• Deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience leading multi-entity consolidations and multi-currency accounting.
• Knowledge of international tax compliance and transfer pricing.

Responsibilities

• Champion continuous improvement in accounting processes and technologies.
• Ensure GAAP and international standards financial reporting; manage audit end-to-end.
• Design and maintain internal controls to protect assets and enable audit readiness.
• Own revenue recognition in ASC 606 for SaaS/HaaS.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidations.
• Partner with CFO and executives; translate financial data into insights.
• Lead international finance across Canada and other markets; multi-currency accounting.
• Develop cash flow forecasting and balance sheet optimization.
• Select and implement scalable ERP systems; integrate across entities.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance in US and international jurisdictions.
• Strategic planning to align finance with growth and market entry.
• Collaborate with legal and external advisors for regulatory filings.
