Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a Collections Specialist to drive timely invoicing and cash collection within a SaaS environment. You will manage an assigned portfolio, apply ASC 606 considerations, and collaborate with Billing, AR, Revenue and Customer Success to resolve disputes.

The role emphasizes proactive outreach, payment plan coordination, and clear stakeholder communication to reduce DSO while preserving customer relationships. This is a remote, 2-month contract, full-time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of collections, accounts receivable, or customer billing experience.
• Experience in SaaS, subscription, or services-based businesses is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of collections best practices and customer account management.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Execute collection activities including outreach, negotiations, payment plan coordination, and escalation as needed.
• Contact customers regarding upcoming and past-due balances and maintain positive relationships.
• Track collection activity, payment commitments, and follow-up actions to ensure resolution.
• Support cross-functional teams to resolve billing disputes and ensure ASC 606 alignment.
