Job summary

Planet Depos is seeking a highly motivated Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist to contact customers about past-due balances, research accounts for discrepancies, and assist with reconciliations. You will also support payment applications and related accounting projects, delivering excellent customer service during collections.

The position is remote, 11:00am–7:00pm EST, Monday–Friday, with a compensation range of $21.00–$23.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of collections experience, preferably in the legal services industry.
• Knowledge of collection laws and regulations.
• Experience with Excel and Google Docs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a professional and confidential environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and monitor account balances with overdue control.
• Contact customers via email and phone to discuss overdue balances.
• Monitor accounts daily and identify outstanding receivables.
• Assist with customer account reconciliation and investigate historical data.
• Provide customer service regarding collection issues; process refunds; review adjustments and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and present reports on collection activities.
• Process customer payments and maintain cash receipts records.
• Handle AR calls and correspondences in a fast-paced environment.
• Resolve billing and credit challenges.
• Assist with AR reconciliations.
• Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts.
• Perform other AR collection duties as assigned.
