Job summary

Norstella in the United States is seeking a RWD Analytic Consultant to join the RWD Engagement Team. You will query and analyze real-world data sources (claims, EMR, labs) to uncover insights and support life sciences engagements.

The role requires deep data analysis, SQL proficiency, collaboration with clinicians and data scientists, and the ability to translate outputs into actionable business recommendations. This is a remote, full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant quantitative field.
• 3+ years of professional experience working hands on with RWD.
• Understanding of life sciences industry and US healthcare ecosystem.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Proficiency in querying relational databases (SQL experience preferred).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently, with a proactive and self‑driven approach.
• Client‑facing experience a plus.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, results‑oriented individual who is highly motivated, decisive, flexible in thought, and has the creativity to excel.

Responsibilities

• Support life sciences analytical use cases by querying and analyzing a wide range of healthcare data sources (claims, labs, EMR, etc.).
• Contribute to understanding healthcare trends, optimizing patient care, and driving evidence-based decisions.
• Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, statisticians, and healthcare professionals to define analytical requirements and deliver insights.
• Clean, validate, and transform raw data into structured formats for analysis; ensure data quality and integrity.
• Develop and maintain data documentation, mappings, and lineage for transparency and accessibility.
• Translate analytic outputs into consultative business insights.
• All other duties as assigned.
