Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to support transportation improvement projects across the region and country, focusing on the design and detailing of local, county, and state roadway and highway projects using standard software.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop designs, ensure compliance with codes, and prepare documentation. The role is remote with potential travel to the primary location and offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum four years of transportation engineering (Highway/Roadway) experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Prepare design documentation, plans, and reports with quantity calculations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect data for topographic surveys and right-of-way for design analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee design quality on projects.
