Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to support transportation improvement projects nationwide through design and detailing of roadway and highway projects. The role is remote with potential travel to the primary location; you will mentor junior engineers and ensure quality across design tasks.

You will work with the team on typical sections, alignments, and design documentation while applying GDOT and other standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum four years of transportation engineering (Highway/Roadway specific design) experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in Microstation, Open Roads Designer software is necessary.
• Remote work requires personal workspace and occasional travel to the primary location; physical demands up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Create design documentation, plans, and reports for tasks and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for design analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide design task leadership.
