Job summary
Consor is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to design and detail roadway projects at the local, county, and state levels. The role involves geometric analyses, design calculations, and collaboration with a project team on documentation and reports.
It is a remote position with some travel, and opportunities to mentor junior engineers while ensuring high-quality design work. The successful candidate will hold a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, a PE license, 4+ years of highway/roadway
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
- 4+ years of transportation engineering experience (highway/roadway).
- Proficiency in Microstation and Open Roads Designer.
Responsibilities
- Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
- Prepare design documentation, plans, and quantity calculations.
- Ensure compliance with codes and engineering practices.
- Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
- Collect data for topographic surveys and right-of-way planning.
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee design quality.
