Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to support regional and national transportation projects. You will design typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections, and prepare design documentation, plans and reports for tasks and quantity calculations.

You will mentor junior engineers, ensure codes and practices are followed, perform calculations and data collection for surveys, and support Design/Build and other delivery methods in a remote, home-office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience (Highway/Roadway design).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; GA license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Create design documentation, plans, and reports for tasks and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect and process data for surveys and right-of-way for design analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee design tasks and quality.
