Job summary

Consor is hiring a Roadway Design Engineer to support transportation improvement projects across the region and country. This remote role involves design detailing of local, county, and state roadways, geometric analyses, and producing design documentation, plans, and reports.

You will mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with codes while leveraging Microstation and Open Roads Designer. Requirements include a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, at least four years in highway/roadway

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience (Highway/Roadway design).
• Professional Engineer license (GA license is a plus).
• Proficiency in Microstation, Open Roads Designer software is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Work with design team on design documentation, plans, and reports.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect data for topographic surveys and right-of-way for design analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee design quality.
