Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Clinical Triage Specialist (RN) for its Access Center.

The RN will use nursing judgment to triage patient calls, assess symptoms, and guide care per approved protocols, delivering an exceptional patient experience. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure in PA/NJ or a compact state, plus at least 2 years of clinical experience in a physician office, home health, critical care, or emergency

Responsibilities

• Answers and prioritizes clinical triage calls
• Verifies patient demographics and updates EHR
• Escalation point for clinical issues and provides advice per protocols
• Manages escalated electronic patient messages with clinical judgement
• Creates positive patient experience and resolves issues during calls
• Meets productivity and quality standards set by Access Center
• Uses guidelines to schedule appointments or refer calls as needed
• Documents symptoms, assessment, and advice given
• Collaborates with other teams to assist patient care
• Other duties as assigned
