Job summary

Luke's University Health Network seeks a Clinical Triage Specialist (RN) for the Access Center. The RN uses nursing judgment to triage patient calls, assess symptoms, and determine appropriate care or self-care steps per approved protocols.

Responsibilities include entering verified demographics into the electronic health record, escalating issues as needed, and delivering compassionate, high-quality patient experiences while meeting productivity standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in PA and NJ or other nursing compact state as required by state law.
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in a physician office, home health, critical care or emergency room.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones, prioritizes clinical triage calls and follows nursing protocols.
• Verifies patient demographic information and updates electronic health record.
• Serves as escalation point for clinical patient issues and provides clinical advice per protocols.
• Creates a positive patient experience and resolves issues during calls within scope of role.
• Consistently meets productivity, schedule adherence and quality standards.
