Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies unit seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with US Air Force customer requirements. You will work with Applications Engineering and Business Development teams to demonstrate interoperability and field readiness of StreamCaster radios across airborne and expeditionary environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel for field tests and customer meetings, with a 100% remote option depending on location.

Qualifications

• BACHELOR’S degree with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech roles; OR HS diploma with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, and tactical communications.
• Familiar with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Ability to obtain Government SECRET clearance within 15 months.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Linux, and scripting languages (Python, C++).
• Strong communication and remote teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Support technical planning, network configuration, and field trials.
• Collaborate to benchmark data and validate architectures.
• Align with BD team to meet strategic technical needs.
• Create and deliver technical demos for airborne and expeditionary networks.
• Conduct market research on potential integrations and partnerships.
• Engage with Air Force program offices and labs as technical liaison.
• Gather field feedback to inform product roadmap inputs.
