Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements. You will work with Applications Engineering to demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster MANET radios across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments.

The role involves collaborating with engineering and business teams, presenting technical demos, and supporting RFI/RFP responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Network engineering or C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering, tech business development, or defense roles; or HS with 5+ years of relevant technical/defense experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
• Employment is contingent on background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Analyze US Air Force operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and support field trials and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to validate architectures with test data and benchmarking.
• Support Business Development with technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for airborne and expeditionary networks.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and end-to-end network testing.
• Engage with Air Force program offices and labs to align roadmaps.
• Capture field feedback to guide product inputs and milestones.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and demonstrations.
