Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist for a fully remote role. You will learn the full process of administering and testing 401(k) plans, reviewing client documents, and communicating progress throughout the plan year.

You will prepare year-end filings and educate clients on plan administration. Minimal in-house training is provided as you grow into more advanced responsibilities within a growing, ESOP-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing as daily job responsibilities.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience including 401(k) or IRA administration is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, IRS/DOL regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans and perform 401(k) testing and reporting using Excel and software.
• Prepare required 401(k) filings including IRS Form 5500 with filing software.
• Educate clients regarding retirement plan administration and documents.
