Guidant Financial is recruiting for a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to work fully remotely with nationwide availability. You will learn to administer, test, and report on 401(k) plans while handling document reviews, client communications, and annual government filings.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing in a back‑office environment.
• 1–5 years in adjacent financial operations such as benefits administration, money movement, tax prep, or compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA) is preferred.
• Experience with reconciliation as a daily duty is preferred.
• Associate's or bachelor’s in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, IRS/DOL regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Perform 401(k) testing and reporting with appropriate software.
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 filings and related documents.
• Educate clients on 401(k) plan administration.
