Job summary
Guidant Financial offers a fully remote Retirement Plan Operations Specialist role, supporting clients nationwide. You will learn the full process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans, progressing from document review to basic plan administration with accelerated training and hands-on experience.
Responsibilities include obtaining client information, reviewing documents, reconciling plans, performing 401(k) testing and IRS Form 5500 filings, and educating clients on plan
Qualifications
- Experience with document review and transaction processing
- 1–5 years in back-office financial operations
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Retirement-plan operations experience preferred
- Knowledge of 401(k) plan structures and IRS/DOL regs preferred
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in business/finance preferred
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting
- Review documents for completeness and accuracy
- Reconcile plans using Excel and admin software
- Run 401(k) testing and reporting
- Place reminder calls and emails to clients during plan year
- Prepare IRS Form 5500 filings using filing software
- Educate clients on administration of 401(k) plans
