Job summary

Guidant Financial, a fully remote company serving entrepreneurs nationwide, seeks a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn the full process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans. You will review client documents, update progress with them, and help with year-end reporting and government filings.

The role emphasizes accelerated learning, practical experience, and growing from document review to administering basic plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience (benefits administration, money movement, tax prep processing, etc.).
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook as daily tools.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or finance, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Prepare 401(k) plan government filings, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
• Educate clients on retirement-plan administration and documents.
• Assist with 401(k) testing and reporting.
