Job summary
Guidant Financial is hiring for a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist in a fully remote role. You will learn the complete process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans, advancing from document review to performing basic plan administration.
You will review client documents, keep clients updated on progress, and help with year-end filings such as IRS Form 5500, leveraging Excel and filing software in a nationwide remote work setting.
Qualifications
- Experience with document review and transaction processing in a back-office environment.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook for daily tasks.
- Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan administration, reporting, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review client documents for completeness and accuracy during annual plan reporting.
- Reconcile plans involving rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
- Perform 401(k) testing and generate government filings, including IRS Form 5500.
- Communicate progress to clients and educate them about retirement plan administration.
- Prepare year-end reporting documents and ensure timely submissions.
- Support ongoing training and knowledge sharing within the team.
