Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring for a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to work remotely with our nationwide client base. You will learn the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans, growing quickly from document review to hands-on plan administration.

You will review client documents, update progress, and guide clients through year-end reporting and 5500 requirements using specialized software and Excel-based tools.

Qualifications

Experience with document review and transaction processing in back-office finance.
1–5 years in adjacent back-office operations (benefits, wires, taxes, loans, or compliance).
Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.
Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA) preferred.
Familiarity with Form 5500 reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to gather information for annual reporting.
Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
Reconcile plans and perform 401(k) testing and reporting.
Prepare the IRS Form 5500 and other required filings.
Educate clients on plan administration.
