Qualifications

• 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience (benefits administration, money movement, tax prep, or compliance).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA administration, recordkeeping, 5500 reporting) is preferred.
• Experience with reconciliation as a daily job responsibility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information to prepare the annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Perform 401(k) testing and reporting with administration software.
• Make reminder calls and send emails during the plan year.
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 filings and educate clients on plan administration.
• Share knowledge and explain complex topics.
• Provide training for Retirement Plan Administrator I.
• Perform other duties as required.
