Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to work fully remote, supporting entrepreneurs nationwide. You will learn and perform the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans, reviewing documents, and communicating progress to clients.

The role involves training in retirement plan concepts, 401(k) testing and year-end reporting, with emphasis on accuracy and customer service in a home-office environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience recommended.
• Familiarity with 401(k) administration, reporting, and compliance is preferred.
• Remote work setup and dedicated workspace required.

Responsibilities

• Review client-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans with rollovers and plan stock using Excel and admin software.
• Perform 401(k) testing and reporting with administration software.
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 and other required 401(k) filings.
• Educate clients on retirement plan administration and documents.
