Job summary

Guidant Financial is offering a fully remote Retirement Plan Operations Specialist role. You will learn the full process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans, reviewing client documents, keeping clients updated, and assisting with year-end filings including the IRS Form 5500.

This position supports entrepreneurs nationwide from a home office with accelerated training. Candidates typically have 1–5 years in back-office financial operations, experience with document review and

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing as daily duties.
• 1–5 years in adjacent back-office financial operations (benefits, wires, claims, tax, loans, compliance).
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k), IRA, 5500) preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and admin software.
• Complete 401(k) testing and reporting with filing software.
• Educate clients on administration of their 401(k) plan.
• Share knowledge and explain topics clearly.
• Training on Retirement Plan Administrator concepts.
• Perform other duties as required.
