Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Application Program Manager/Specialist for a remote engagement with the State of Louisiana's OTS. The role oversees release calendars, governance, and cross-team collaboration across Development, QA, and UAT to ensure timely and quality software deployments.

Responsibilities include deployment coordination across environments, maintaining release documentation, risk mitigation, and post-release support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/Data Science/MIS/IT or related field
4+ years of Release Management and Deployment Coordination experience
ITIL certification required

Responsibilities

Create and manage the release calendar, coordinating release schedules across concurrent projects.
Define and enforce release management processes, including release readiness criteria, approval gates, and rollback plans.
Collaborate with Development, QA, and UAT teams to confirm release scope, sequencing, and dependencies.
Lead release planning and go/no-go meetings, ensuring risks and open items are communicated to stakeholders before deployment.
Coordinate deployments across Development, Test, Staging, and Production environments.
Maintain release notes, change logs, deployment documentation, and post-release reports.
Identify and mitigate release risks and elevate issues that may impact timelines or client commitments.
Support post-release monitoring and coordinate timely resolution of issues after go-live.
Continuously improve release management processes, practices, and templates to ensure consistency across engagements.
