Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring a Transportation Consultant for a country-wide remote role. You will oversee day-to-day transportation operations, partner with planners and 3PLs, and use TMS/Tableau/Power BI to monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvements across a 1–5 facility portfolio.

Responsibilities include standardizing processes, governing ASO workflows, and coordinating cross-functional communication to sustain delivery performance in a dynamic logistics network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Experience managing 3PL/carrier performance for regional or multi-facility networks.
• Strong ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights from transportation trends.
• Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau/Power BI and TMS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational POC for transportation operations across 1 to 5 facilities.
• Collaborate with carriers and 3PL partners to manage service delivery and resolve exceptions.
• Align with Transportation Planners to reinforce SOPs and route planning expectations.
• Oversee SOP maintenance and the After-Sale Order (ASO) process across sites.
• Coordinate contingency plans for disruptions like weather events and system outages.
• Use TMS and BI tools to monitor KPIs and provide data-backed insights to leadership.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization in the territory.
• Liaise with DC operations, customer service, planning, and external providers for clear communications.
