Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to oversee day-to-day operational stability and standardization across a portfolio of facilities. You will partner with Transportation Planners, DC leadership, and 3PLs to sustain delivery performance and enforce SOPs, including ASO workflows.

You will leverage TMS and BI tools like Tableau and Power BI to monitor regional KPIs, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and coordinate real-time solutions during disruptions such as severe weather or peak

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certifications are a plus.
• 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with focus on fleet, dispatch, or carrier ops.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational POC for FDC transportation operations within 1–5 facilities; troubleshoot to protect service levels.
• Foster collaboration with carrier operations management and 3PL partners to manage service delivery and resolve exceptions.
• Partner with Transportation Planners to reinforce SOPs and align route planning and compliance.
• Drive governance and SOP maintenance; oversee ASO processes.
• Coordinate contingency plans for weather, holidays, and system outages affecting facilities.
• Use TMS and BI tools to monitor KPIs, analyze data, and provide feedback to regional leadership.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement with engineering and leadership.
• Communicate across distribution centers, customer service, planning, and external providers.
