Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to oversee operational stability and standardization of transportation across a portfolio of facilities. You will partner with Transportation Planners, DC leadership, and 3PL carriers to maintain delivery performance, ensure SOP adherence, and manage the ASO process.

You will leverage TMS and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI) to monitor KPIs, troubleshoot disruptions, and coordinate real-time solutions for weather, outages, and peak volumes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Preferred Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
• 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational POC for transportation ops across 1–5 facilities; troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day transport challenges.
• Foster collaboration with carrier ops and 3PL partners to manage service delivery and resolve exceptions.
• Partner with Transportation Planners to enforce SOPs and route planning expectations.
• Drive governance and SOP maintenance, including the ASO process across sites.
• Coordinate contingency plans for weather, peak volumes, and outages.
• Use TMS and BI tools to monitor KPIs and provide data-backed feedback to leadership.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and waste elimination with leadership.
