Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to oversee day-to-day transportation operations across a network of facilities. You will act as the primary operational POC, collaborating with planners, DC leadership, and 3PL partners to maintain delivery performance and process compliance.

You will leverage TMS and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) to monitor regional KPIs, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and coordinate real-time solutions during disruptions such as weather events and peak volumes.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret operational data and derive insights
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and TMS systems preferred
• Bachelor's degree or related field preferred
• 4+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational POC for transportation operations across 1–5 facilities
• Collaborate with carrier operations management and 3PL partners to manage service delivery
• Coordinate with Transportation Planners to ensure SOP adherence and route planning
• Oversee SOP maintenance and ASO processes across sites
• Anticipate and coordinate contingency plans for disruptions
• Use TMS and BI tools to monitor KPIs and provide data-backed feedback
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and best-practice adoption
• Liaise with distribution, customer service, planning, and external providers
