Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to oversee day-to-day operations across the distributed network. You will act as the primary operational POC for your territory, coordinating with Transportation Planners, DC leadership, and 3PLs to maintain service levels and standardize processes.

You will analyze regional KPIs using TMS, Tableau, and Power BI, troubleshoot disruptions, and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• PMP and Lean Six Sigma certifications are desirable.
• 4+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with focus on fleet ops or 3PL/carrier ops.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational Point of Contact for FDC transportation operations for 1–5 facilities.
• Collaborate with carrier operations management and 3PL partners to manage service delivery and resolve exceptions.
• Partner with Transportation Planners to reinforce SOPs and route planning expectations.
• Oversee SOP maintenance and the ASO process for governance and standardization.
• Coordinate contingency plans for weather events, outages, and peak holiday volume.
• Use TMS and BI tools to monitor KPIs, identify failure modes, and provide data-driven feedback.
