Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Transportation Consultant to oversee day-to-day operational stability and standardization across its distribution network. You will serve as the primary operational POC for your territory, partnering with planners, DC leadership, and 3PLs to maintain delivery performance and enforce SOPs including the ASO process.

You will leverage TMS and BI tools to monitor KPIs, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement data-backed improvements during disruptions, holidays, and weather

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
• 4+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management with focus on fleet, dispatch, or carrier operations.
• Experience managing regional or multi-facility networks and 3PL performance.
• Ability to analyze operational data and derive actionable insights from trends.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, and TMS for reporting and dashboards.
• Proven ability to lead during disruption, and to communicate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary operational POC for transportation operations across facilities.
• Collaborate with carriers, 3PLs, and internal teams to meet service levels.
• Align with Transportation Planners on SOPs and route expectations.
• Drive SOP maintenance and ASO process governance.
• Coordinate contingency plans for weather, holidays, and outages.
• Monitor KPIs using TMS and BI tools and provide regional leadership feedback.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operations and implement best practices.
• Communicate with DCs, customer service, planning, and providers about delivery execution.
