Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to oversee day-to-day operational stability and standardization across its distribution network. You will serve as the primary operational POC for a portfolio of facilities, partnering with Transportation Planners, DC leadership, and 3PLs to maintain delivery performance and process compliance.

You will leverage TMS and BI tools to track KPIs, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and coordinate real-time solutions for disruptions, including weather

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• 4+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management with focus on fleet/3PL operations.
• Experience managing operational processes, day-to-day transportation execution, and 3PL/carrier performance for regional or multi-facility networks.
• Strong ability to interpret operational data, review scorecards, and derive insights from transportation trends.
• Familiarity with data visualization/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI) and TMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary operational POC for FDC transportation operations within 1 to 5 facilities; troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day challenges.
• Foster collaboration with carrier operations and 3PL partners to manage service delivery expectations and verify carrier execution.
• Partner with Transportation Planners to reinforce SOPs and route planning expectations.
• Drive SOP maintenance and governance across sites and oversee the ASO process.
• Coordinate contingency plans for weather events, peak holidays, and outages.
