Job summary

Merck seeks an Associate Director, Chronic Care Regional Trainer to lead field-based learning for Chronic Care teams across districts. This role partners with Sales Leadership, L&D, and cross-functional stakeholders to tailor regional training to national strategy and drive patient impact.

Responsibilities include executing training, coaching, onboarding new hires, and translating field insights into development plans while collaborating with marketing, medical, and access teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Life Sciences, or Education preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in sales, training, marketing, or healthcare field roles.
• Experience in Chronic Care, cardiovascular/endocrinology space.
• Proven ability to deliver training (in-person and virtual) and coach field teams.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to analyze field insights and translate them into actionable development plans.
• High adaptability to dynamic field environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and facilitate clinical, product, and disease state training using HQ-approved materials.
• Conduct field-based coaching and ride-alongs to improve engagement and selling effectiveness.
• Onboard new hires in partnership with sales leadership with product knowledge and compliance.
• Partner with leaders to assess training needs across districts and align with territory plans.
• Translate business needs into targeted learning interventions.
• Adapt national L&D strategy to local market dynamics and provide HQ feedback.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliant training delivery.
