Qualifications

• 7–12+ years of state government or lobbying experience.
• Experience managing external vendors or contract lobbyists to deliver outcomes.
• Exposure to multiple state legislatures or regulatory agencies in B2C sectors.
• Strong political credibility and relationships with government officials.
• Experience in fast-moving industries such as technology, fintech, or gaming.
• Proficiency with legislative tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary accountability manager for external lobbyists in the regional portfolio.
• Translate VGW’s lobbying strategy into state-specific advocacy messaging.
• Develop relationships with state legislators, AG offices, and regulators.
• Participate in cross-regional strategy sessions to align messaging.
• Represent the company at hearings, fundraisers, conferences, and stakeholder events.
• Monitor and track legislation affecting social gaming and consumer protection.
