Job summary

VGW is seeking two Regional Leads for its Government & Industry Affairs team in the United States. You will translate VGW’s lobbying strategy into targeted, state-specific campaigns, managing external lobbyists and building relationships with state government officials across multiple jurisdictions.

Ideal candidates bring 7–12+ years of state government or lobbying experience, with a track record in fast-moving industries such as technology or gaming, and a strong ability to operate autonomously

Qualifications

• 7–12+ years in state government, lobbying, or campaigns.
• Experience managing external vendors/contract lobbyists against defined deliverables.
• Knowledge of gaming regulation, sweepstakes law, or related policy areas.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary accountability Manager for external lobbyists in the regional portfolio; set expectations, review deliverables, and provide performance assessments.
• Translate VGW’s lobbying strategy into state-specific advocacy messaging and tailor to local dynamics.
• Develop and maintain relationships with state legislators, committee staff, attorneys general offices, and regulators.
• Participate in cross-regional strategy sessions to ensure consistent messaging and coordinate multi-state campaigns.
• Represent VGW at hearings, fundraisers, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
• Monitor and track active and emerging legislation across assigned states affecting social gaming and related policy areas.
