Qualifications

• 7–12+ years of experience in state government, lobbying, or political campaigns.
• Experience managing external vendors or contract lobbyists.
• Working knowledge of gaming regulation or related policy areas.
• Strong political credibility and relationships with key government officials.
• Experience in multi-state lobbying in fast-moving tech/gaming industries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary accountability manager for all external lobbyists in the regional portfolio.
• Translate VGW’s lobbying strategy into state-specific advocacy messaging.
• Develop and maintain relationships with state legislators, staff, attorneys general, and regulators.
• Participate in cross-regional strategy sessions to align messaging.
• Represent VGW at hearings, fundraisers, conferences, and stakeholder events.
• Monitor and track legislation affecting social gaming, consumer protection, and age verification.
