bioMérieux seeks a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the region and nationally, using advanced tools and test equipment. The role is remote-friendly with overnight travel on short notice and requires independent work alongside cross-functional collaboration.

The position emphasizes installation, maintenance, and upgrades while promoting service agreements and driving field revenue. Training and on-call duties are integral parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electro-mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or military settings.
• Education Substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Attend to customer service needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure instruments meet specifications.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities for cross-functional teams.
• Foster teamwork across service and support teams while driving field service revenue through billable offerings like preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO offices within the first year; future trainings as needed.
• Travel includes scheduled and unscheduled visits with overnight stays for wide territories and occasional national travel.
• Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation (~every 5 weeks) with local phone availability and potential national travel.
