Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service instruments and support customers in Wisconsin and beyond. This role involves remote work with overnight travel, installation, maintenance, and upgrades in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a engineering-related degree or 6+ years’ related field experience, plus a valid driver’s license and strong problem-solving skills. Training will be provided, with travel to training sites in Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience troubleshooting and/or repairing complex electro‑mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical systems.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years of relevant experience as described above.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure instruments meet specifications.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities for cross‑functional teams.
• Drive field service revenue through billable offerings like preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product training at designated offices within the first year; participate in ongoing training as needed.
• Travel for customer visits, including potential overnight stays and national travel as required.
• Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation; provide remote support when needed.
• Complete service work orders, QA checklists, and internal training requirements on time.
