Job summary

BioMerieux Inc. is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the assigned territory and nationally as needed.

The role requires remote work with the ability to travel overnight on short notice, delivering best-in-class customer experiences. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree (or 6+ years of related experience), 2+ years in troubleshooting/repair of complex systems, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or 6+ years of relevant experience in troubleshooting/repair of complex electro-mechanical/electronic/electrical systems.
• 2+ years of professional related experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex systems is required.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure instruments meet specifications.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities for cross-functional teams.
• Drive field service revenue through billable offerings like preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend 6-9 weeks of product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO offices within the first year; future trainings as needed.
• Travel includes overnight stays as needed for wide territories and occasional national travel.
• Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation (~every 5 weeks).
• Maintain accurate service work orders, QA checklists, and internal training records.
