Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder with radiology experience to join our remote coding team, coding CT, ultrasounds and other modalities. CPC in active status is required, CPC-A considered with radiology experience. This role supports our Radiology group and offers flexible hours and nationwide remote work.

We provide equipment, training for 1 month+, and ongoing support. Remote coders across the nation enjoy growth opportunities, teamwork, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with formal training in medical coding principles and practices.
• Active certification: CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-A, RHIA or RHIT with AHIMA/AAPC.
• Six months of professional coding experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work remotely with standard office software and coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Code ICD-CM and CPT4 for accurate APC assignment.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures into the EMR and ensure complete records.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and other standards.
• Compile daily and monthly coding reports and support QA processes.
• Work independently with available supervision and seek guidance as needed.
