Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder (remote) to join our Radiology coding team. The role focuses on coding CT, Ultrasounds, and other modalities, with preference for CPC and radiology experience. A CPC can be CPC-A with at least 6 months radiology coding experience.

Training and remote support are provided, with equipment furnished upon hire. This full-time remote position offers schedule flexibility, strong benefits, and opportunities for internal growth.

Qualifications

• Active professional coding certifications (CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-A, RHIA or RHIT) in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates medical records and assigns ICD and CPT codes according to national guidelines.
• Abstracts diagnoses and procedures into electronic records with complete and accurate coding.
• Provides quality assurance to ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and other standards.
• Compiles daily/monthly reports from medical records for analysis.
• Works independently with supervision as needed and references coding guidelines and LCDs.
