Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder with radiology experience for a fully remote role. The position involves coding CT, Ultrasounds, and other modalities, with CPC certification required and CPC-A acceptable with radiology experience. Remote work across many states with strong training and support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent plus formal training in medical coding principles and terminology.
• Six months to one year coding experience preferred; CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/CPC-A/RHIA/RHIT active status.
• Experience with radiology coding and CPT4/ICD coding principles expected.

Responsibilities

• Code medical records for radiology including CT and Ultrasound using ICD-CM and CPT4.
• Ensure codes meet CMS, OIG, HCFA guidelines and internal quality standards.
• Abstract data from records and ensure complete documentation for billing and audits.
• Collaborate with providers to clarify missing information for accurate coding.
