Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder to join our remote coding team. The role focuses on Radiology coding, including CT, ultrasound and other modalities, requiring CPC in active status and at least 6 months radiology coding experience. We offer flexible hours and comprehensive training.

Ideal candidates have CPC (or CPC-A with radiology experience) and a solid remote-work history, with access to robust coding software and support from a national coding network.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in active status (not CPC-A) with recent coding work history
• Six months of professional coding experience in a healthcare setting
• Ability to code Radiology (CT, Ultrasound and all modalities)
• Remote work capability with reliable equipment and internet

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical records and assign ICD/CPT codes per national guidelines
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures into EMR and ensure complete records
• Ensure coding quality and regulatory compliance for CMS, OIG, HCFA
• Produce daily/monthly reports and support coding audits
• Work independently in a remote environment with required documentation and signatures
