Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated, experienced Physician Coder with 6 months to 1 year of coding experience to join the Coding Ambulatory team as a remote Radiology coder. CPC certification in active status is required (CPC-A acceptable with radiology experience).

You will code CT, Ultrasounds and other radiology modalities, with flexible 8-hour blocks between 7am–7pm and equipment provided. We offer remote work across a nationwide footprint, strong benefits, and growth opportunities within

Qualifications

• Requires CPC (active) with radiology coding experience or CPC-A with radiology experience.
• 6 months to 1 year radiology coding experience preferred.
• Remote work experience and ability to collaborate virtually.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes medical records and codes diagnostic and procedural information per guidelines.
• Abstracts diagnoses and documents data into EMR with proper signatures and authorizations.
• Ensures compliance with coding rules and regulatory standards (CMS, OIG, HCFA).
• Compiles daily/monthly reports from medical records for analysis.
• Works independently with guidance for interpreting coding guidelines.
