Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder to join our remote coding team. The role focuses on radiology coding for CT and Ultrasound across a nationwide footprint, with CPC-related certifications in active status required and a preference for candidates with 6 months of radiology coding experience.

Qualifications

• CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-A, RHIA or RHIT active with AHIMA or AAPC.
• At least 6 months of professional coding in a broad healthcare setting.
• Remote coding experience with radiology focus (CT, ultrasound).

Responsibilities

• Code medical records for radiology, including CT and ultrasound.
• Absorb clinical information and assign ICD/CPT codes.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA, and state guidelines.
• Prepare daily/monthly reports and maintain coding quality.
• Work independently in a remote setting with support as needed.
