Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder with radiology coding experience for a fully remote role. CPC in active status required; CPC-A accepted with radiology experience. This position covers Radiology codes including CT and Ultrasounds and requires familiarity with ICD/CPT guidelines.

The role offers flexible hours, remote collaboration nationwide, and equipment provided by Banner Health. Training is provided for 1 month+, with ongoing support and opportunities for internal growth

Qualifications

• CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/R CPC-A or RHIA/RHIT active with AHIMA or AAPC.
• Six months coding experience in healthcare settings.
• Remote work capability and familiarity with coding software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical records and assign ICD/CPT codes per guidelines.
• Abstract diagnoses/procedures into EMR and verify data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with CMS/HCFA/Medicaid regulations and guidelines.
• Support remote coding team and participate in regular audits.
