Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder with radiology coding experience to join our remote team. The role focuses on coding CT, ultrasound and other radiology procedures using ICD-CM and CPT4, with CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/CPC-A/RHIA/RHIT credentials preferred.

Remote work offers flexible scheduling and robust support resources. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of coding experience, a CPC-type credential, and the ability to work in a remote environment across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Active CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/CPC-A/RHIA/RHIT certification with AHIMA or AAPC.
• Minimum 6 months professional coding experience, radiology preferred.
• Ability to work remotely with reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Code ICD/CPT for radiology records and ensure accuracy.
• Clarify missing information with providers to assign correct codes.
• Abstract and document data in EMR, including charges, dates, providers and signatures.
• Provide quality assurance to ensure coding compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prepare daily/monthly reports and analyze data from medical records.
• Work independently in a remote setting with available support.
