Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder with CPC to join our fully remote Coding Ambulatory team. You will code the Radiology group, including CT and Ultrasound modalities, ensuring accurate ICD/CPT coding per national guidelines.

The role offers remote work with flexible hours and access to statewide and nationwide resources. Requires CPC in active status and at least 6 months of radiology coding experience, with training and ongoing support provided to help you succeed in a remote

Qualifications

• Six months providing professional coding services or other related healthcare experience within a broad range of health care facilities.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles as recommended by AHIMA/AAPC.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates medical records, provides clinical and surgical abstraction and assigns appropriate clinical diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Abstracts clinical diagnoses, procedure codes and documents other pertinent information into EMR.
• Provides quality assurance for medical records and ensures compliance with coding rules and regulations.

Education

Associate’s degree in a related health care field

Completion of two-year medical records certification program
