Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder to join a fully remote Radiology coding team. The role covers CT, ultrasounds, and other radiology modalities, requiring CPC in active status and at least six months of coding experience.

Qualifications

• CPC or equivalent active certification (CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-A, RHIA, RHIT) in active status.
• At least 6 months of professional coding experience.
• Experience coding radiology modalities (CT, Ultrasound, other radiology procedures) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and assign ICD/CPT codes according to national guidelines.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures into EMR, ensuring complete and accurate patient records.
• Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulatory standards (CMS, OIG, HCFA).
• Compile daily/monthly reports from medical records for analysis.
• Work independently with remote support and seek guidance as needed.
